Emotional baggage bag

Emotional baggage. We all have it; it’s just that some of us are more candid and self aware about it than others. I’ve decided to carry mine out into the open.

Never mind all the fickle 5p plastic bags of the past, I’ve finally decided I am open and ready for a life-long, committed relationship with a tote bag for my groceries. This Christmas present to myself was purchased from the clever  The School of Life shop, for £35. I went for the navy, but it comes in a nice khaki green too. It’s made of heavy duty fabric with a good lining. Perfect for shopping. It’s already given me a bit of a giggle so at least I can say I’ve got a sense of humour about my  ’emotional baggage’. The School of Life is much more than a shop though, it’s also an example of good capitalism and a project with a mission. As they say on their website “The School of Life is a place to step back and think intelligently about central emotional concerns.” You can read more about what they believe  and what they do here and there seems to be lots of interesting events and classes happening.

“This bag celebrates one of the most glamorous projects any of us can undertake: learning how to carry our emotional baggage well”.
